The Three-year starter finished the regular season ranked 4th in the Tidewater Region in Rushing with 1,173 Yards on 154 carries.
The talented junior came into 2024 with a goal of cracking the 1,000-yard mark, after finishing just shy in 2023.
Last season as a sophomore he ran for 923 Yards, to go along with 11 Touchdowns.
This earned him 1st-Team All-State, 1st-Team All-Region & 1st-Team All-District selections as a junior.
Pryear has exceptional vision and balance, combined with breakaway speed that makes him a threat anytime he touches the ball.
After going down 21-0 in the 1st half last week against Hampton, Pryear responded with a one-man, two play Touchdown drive on the next offensive possession.
The Bruins got the ball back at the 31-yard line, and handed it off to Pryear twice for a total of 61 yards and a score, keeping Bethel’s hopes alive.
Pryear will have another opportunity to push that season rushing total up next week in the Class 5 Region B playoffs.
